Staff Biographies

ERMA DIONNE DAVIS
GUEST CONDUCTOR
She is the proud wife of Antonio R. Davis and mother of 3 wonderful children, 26 year-old twin boys Jordan and Jalen and 23 year-old daughter Cecily. She is a product of Dekalb County Schools, having attended and graduated from Terry Mill Elementary under the Orchestra direction of David Robinson III and Cedar Grove High under the Orchestra direction of Chester Griffin. She received her Bachelor of Music Education degree from Georgia State and Master of Music Education degree from The University of Georgia. She’s a former violinist of the Cobb Symphony and Dekalb Symphony.
She is the former Orchestra Director of Salem Middle and Martin Luther King Jr. High where she also served as the Georgia Music Educators’ Association District IV String Chairperson, Textbook Selection Committee member and Curriculum Instruction Assessment and Professional Learning (CIAPL) Committee member. She is currently the Orchestra Director of South Gwinnett High, where she serves over 140 orchestra students each day and a GMEA adjudicator/clinician which affords her the opportunity to judge various Large Group Performance Evaluations throughout the United States.

SCOTT HAGUE
Resident Clinician
Scott Hague received his Bachelor of Music Education degree from Florida State University in 2002, where he also studied viola performance with Dr. Pamela Ryan and Dr. Phillip Rush. He also holds a Masters and Specialist degree in Music Education from the University of Georgia. His secondary instruments include violin, piano, voice, and guitar. Mr. Hague most recently served as associate conductor and principal violist of the Gwinnett Symphony Orchestra where he also directed the youth and chamber orchestras within the organization. Mr. Hague is currently in his 21st year as a high school orchestra director with Gwinnett County Public Schools. He also serves as a violinist/violist of one of Atlanta’s busiest string quartets, BellaNota Strings. Mr. Hague also performs regularly in local churches and regional theaters such as the Aurora Theatre in Lawrenceville. Mr. Hague has performed extensively with The Florida State University Symphony &; Opera Orchestras, University of Georgia Symphony, Athens Symphony, Macon Symphony, CapitolCity Opera, Gainesville Symphony, Northeast Atlanta Ballet Orchestra, Da Salo Solisti Chamber Orchestra, West Coast Symphony (FL), London Symphony Chamber Orchestra (Tampa, FL), University of Miami Orchestra, and several other ensembles throughout the southeast. He has worked with notable performers such as Joshua Bell, Eliot Chapo, Gary Kosloski, DenyceGraves (mezzo-soprano), James Judd, Thomas Sleeper and others. Mr. Hague has also participated in multiple recording sessions featuring world-premiere compositions and performed in more eclectic settings with Disney Cruise Lines, the Dervish Irish Band (UK), and the Swedish heavy-metal band Evergrey.
In 2011, Mr. Hague was selected to perform in the Lincoln Center in New York for a special ten-year September 11 th anniversary concert.

SPRITE CRAWFORD
Resident Clinician
Sprite Crawford has dedicated most of her life to music, She current plays with the Savannah Phil Harmonic, The Augusta Symphony, and The La Grange Symphony Orchestra. She services as resident clinician at Trickum Middle School, Couch Middle School and Bay Creek Middle School.
Sprite attended Kent State University, 2007 and The Henry Mancici Institute, 2009. She is currently working on her Doctorate in music education.
